Log an ejection or cut-off with a reason. If that ID is scanned again during the event, a big red alert fires with the note, so the whole team knows.
Prep on wifi, then go dark. Every scan is stored on the device with a clear "working offline" indicator, and nothing is ever uploaded.
This is the part no clip-on scanner can do. When you band a guest, the band is bound to the ID that cleared. Any roving staffer can scan that band later and see exactly who it was issued to, which kills the oldest trick at every festival: passing a 21+ band to an underage friend.
